First look BTS images have been released for Daddy’s Love, starring Jibola Dabo, Liquorose and Osakue Izevbigie, in what is described as a romantic comedy drama film where the bond between a dedicated widowed father and his only daughter/child is tested when life sends new love their way.
The revealed synopsis for Daddy’s Love reads: A widowed father gives out his daughter’s hand in marriage but has refused to let go completely. The young man will be willing to make room for another man (father-in-law) in their home or be faced with a series of unwanted visits from his father-in-law.
Shot on location in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, with all local crew and cast, Daddy’s Love stars Ex Big Brother Nigeria housemate Liquorose in her first lead role and introduces newcomer Osakue Izevbigie.
Daddy’s Love is written and directed by Willis Ikedum, with Oge Lawrence credited as line producer.
According to the director of the film, Willis Ikedum, Daddy’s Love is a response to his hit family drama Mummy Dearest which opened in cinemas across Nigeria on June 26, 2015, revealing that the story was triggered by the thought of letting his only daughter, at the moment, go to another man when she’s of age.
Daddy’s Love is coming to cinemas across West & East Africa and the UK very soon.
