Netflix Reveals Cast and Plot for ‘Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness’

Netflix has revealed the plot and cast details for the upcoming anime series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. The voice actors for the role of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield are Nick Apostolides and Stephanie Panisello. Both actors will reprise their roles from the reimagined Resident Evil 2 remake from 2019.

The show will take place in 2006 as hordes of zombies head over to the White House. Leon and his SWAT team are forced to take down the zombies, and Claire Redfield will try to connect the dot between the White House attack and the zombie attacks in a distant country. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is set to premiere on Netflix this year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise.


Netflix Strikes a $30 Million Deal For Dev Patel’s Directorial Debut, ‘Monkey Man’

Dev Patel is set to make his directorial debut in a John Wick-esque revenge thriller, Monkey Man. Netflix has reportedly struck a deal of around 30 million dollars to acquire worldwide rights to this movie. The concept of the movie attracted the interest of many bidders which Netflix won and now plans to release the film in 2022.

Starring alongside Patel is Sharlto Copley (District 9), Sobhita Dhulipala (Psycho Raman), and Sikander Kher (24: India). The movie tells the story of an unlikely hero who emerges from prison to take on a world enmeshed in corporate greed and eroding spiritual values, and seeks revenge from those who took everything from him years before. Monkey Man is a co-production between Bron Studios (Pieces of a Woman), and Thunder Road Pictures, the producers of  John Wick, in association with Creative Wealth (Candy Man).


Chad Stahelski to Direct a “Die Hard Meets Indiana Jones” Movie Titled, ‘Classified’

John Wick director, Chad Stahelski is set to direct a new action thriller titled, Classified. Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan (Project Almanac, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension) will write the screenplay.

Classified is described as a “Die Hard meets Indiana Jones” type. A combination of two of the most revered action and adventure movies that have come out of Hollywood. This is enough to excite movie fans around the world. According to Deadline, New Line Cinema has won an auction for Stahelski’s action-thriller, Classified. Stahelski is also directing the fourth and fifth John Wick movies, which are currently in pre-production and set to be filmed back-to-back. John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released on May 27, 2022.
