New Drama Series ‘Get Lust’ Explores Ambition and Sacrifice in Nigeria’s Entertainment Industry

Get Lust, a new drama series is bringing a  mix of romance and crime to audiences. The show centers on Tobi (played by Etta Jomaria), Dare (Iremide Adeoye), and Chinaza (Valerie Lawrence) as they chase their dreams of success in the entertainment industry, each making difficult, high-stakes choices that test their relationships with one another and their families. As they confront the cost of their decisions, the characters find themselves torn between personal ambition and the potential destruction of their closest bonds.

Starring alongside Jomaria, Lawrence and Adeoye are Chimezie Imo (Breath of Life),  Tope Tedela (All The Colours of the World are Between Black and White), Ronke Oshodi (Ajosepo), Jude Orhorha (Riona), and Chuks Joseph (Afamefuna).

The drama series produced by Carmsee Media and Entertainment, in collaboration with Konirewa Films and Olayemi Oshodi  dives into these lives of ambitious young characters driven by intense desires, navigating personal and professional struggles with questionable choices along the way, in what is said to be a high-stakes narrative.

Created by Kamisi Adebisi (Atunida)  the show is brought to life with showrunners Olayemi Oshodi (Love In a Pandemic, AM Irora Iya) and Sherif Adekunle (AM Bride Price and Gbese), with Precious “Happy Director” Okpala at the helm as director, co-directed by Izy Olabode (Osa, The Samaritan). 

This collaboration builds on their previous work together on the Jujufi series Atunida, which premiered at both the Lagos Fringe Festival and the Ibadan Film Awards in 2023.

Joining them as cinematographer is Fadamana Okwong known for lensing A Green Fever and A Ghetto Love Story. 

Release details for Get Lust remain unknown.
