YAHOO+; a crime thriller that has been a festival favourite across Nigeria by Ebuka Njoku. Release date: July 1, in cinemas.
MINIONS: THE RISE OF GRU; sequel to 2015 animated film Minions. Release date: July 1, in cinemas. JEWEL; South African drama. July 8, on Netflix.
THE SEA BEAST; an animated adventure film where a stowaway girl befriends the most dangerous monster of all. Release date: July 8, on Netflix. PROPHETESS; Directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and starring Toyin Abraham, the 2021 cinema release arrives on Netflix on July 8 THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER; Another installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and series of Thor movies led by Chris Hemsworth. Release date: July 8, in cinemas. THE GHOST AND THE TOUT TOO; Starring Toyin Abraham, the sequel to Ghost and The Tout arrives on Netflix on July 25. VANITY; Staring Jemima Osunde and Uzor Arukwe in a marriage drama. Release date: July 15, in cinemas. NOPE; Jordan Peele returns in this scifi horror starring Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya. Release date: August 19, in cinemas.
MY VILLAGE PEOPLE; Niyi Akinmolayan directs Bovi, Sophie Alakija and Rachel Oniga in this comedy horror film that premiered in cinemas in 2021. Release date: July 22, on Netflix. THE GRAY MAN; Directed by the Russo brothers, this action thriller stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas and Regé-Jean Page in the most expensive film made by Netflix so far. Release date: July 22, on Netflix. The film will also be in cinemas from July 14. MONEY MISS ROAD; Directed by Obi Emelonye and starring Jide Kene Achufusi and Josh Alfred (Josh2Funny) in a comedy drama. Release date: July 22, in cinemas. HEY YOU: Directed by Uyoyou Adia and starring Timini Egbuson and Efe Irele, the romantic flick will be in cinemas from July 29. DC LEAGUE OF SUPERPETS; an animated film voiced by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski, Vanessa Bayer, Natasha Lyonne. In cinemas from July 29.
