Efa Iwara and Tope Olowoniyan Star in Orire Nwani’s ‘Love & Seclusion’ Set for New York Premiere

Conceptified Media and CANO Production have announced the North American premiere date for their upcoming feature film, Love & Seclusion, which stars Efa Iwara and Tope Olowoniyan in the lead roles. The film, written by Clementina Ojie and produced by Josh Olaoluwa, received a significant boost from the New York City Women’s Fund in the feature fiction category of 2023, facilitating its post-production phase.

Directed by Orire Nwani, Love & Seclusion explores the life of a young Lagos wife, Tola, portrayed by Olowoniyan, who is determined to conceive her first child during the pandemic-induced quarantine, unaware of her husband’s reluctance towards parenthood.

Alongside Iwara and Olowoniyan, the movie also stars Inem King, Olanrewaju Ayanwale, Jaybo Charles, and Odiah Emmanuel. Scheduled to debut at New York University on February 23, 2024, the Love & Seclusion screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the cast and creative team.

The film’s cinematography was overseen by Adebowale Raji, with Roberta Orioma credited as the line producer. While a global release date has yet to be confirmed, the production team is optimistic about a wider release in 2024 following its run in the festival circuit.

Conceptified Media also recently achieved success at the Red Sea Souk market for their project Fantastic Tale. These achievements further highlight the company’s promise to deliver exceptional and captivating storytelling.
