Emmy Nominations: Netflix Tops HBO in 2018

With an increase in the number of series produced, and money forked out for new projects and ideas the day was bound to come. Netflix gains more nominations than HBO in 2018. “I was alive”, so I’d say. This serves as a reminder for HBO  who has dominated award seasons over the years that Netflix isn’t here to play, and we viewers are not giving out 10,99 monthly for nothing. OK, This is an Emmy nominations list post, and not time to once more show my obsession for Netflix. Let’s get to it, community.

HBO’s “Game of Thrones” leads the pack with 22 noms, the most for any series. NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” and HBO’s “Westworld” follows close behind with 21 each. FX’s “The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” draws the most nominations for a limited series with 18 noms, while fellow FX title “Atlanta” is the most nominated comedy series at 16(yoo-hoo!!). Netflix tops HBO as the most nominated network with 112 nominations to the premium cablers’ 108.
