February 2024 marks the beginning of a new era for Showmax. The streaming company closed a partnership with Comcast’s NBCU and Sky in 2023 and has since pushed a revamped brand and platform that has sights on being the number-one service in Africa.
As we usher in the new platform, with the arrival of releases like the epic drama series Cheta’M; the second season of the drama series Flawsome; the Igbo apprenticeship docu-series, Freemen; and the reality series Sadau Sisters, we are not saying ‘out with the old’ just yet. For this reason, we have curated a list of some older Showmax Nigerian originals that are still available on the platform, just for you.
Serving as the first Nigerian Original series on the streaming platform, Diiche is a psychological thriller and murder mystery created by Ifeanyi Barbara Chidi. Diiche which ran for six episodes also stars Efa Iwara, Frank Konwea, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, Kalu Ikeagwu, Chinyere Wilfred and Gloria Anozie-Young.
