TWF Productions Expands Short Film Slate With ‘In the Space of Desire’

TWF Productions has announced its second short film, In the Space of Desire, a drama starring Wumi Tuase-Fosudo, Mike Afolarin and Temilolu Fosudo. Directed by Chukwu Martin, the film explores marriage, fidelity and the boundaries between private desires and personal commitments.

Here is a first look.

Written by Temilolu Fosudo, In the Space of Desire follows Ike, a married woman whose life is unsettled when Dapo, a former lover, moves into her neighbourhood. Despite her commitment to her marriage with Feyi, Dapo’s return rekindles feelings and curiosities she thought she had left behind, forcing her to confront the complicated distance between what people choose to do and what they continue to feel.

The film was shot in Lagos in September 2026, with Fadamana Okwong (Green Fever) serving as cinematographer. It is co-produced by Wumi Tuase-Fosudo and Temilolu Fosudo, who founded TWF Productions, an independent company operating across film, theatre, talent management and digital content.

For director Chukwu Martin, a longtime collaborator of the production company, the appeal of the project lay in its willingness to explore an uncomfortable subject.

“Talking about our fantasies is a deeply private thing, and doing so can complicate lives,” Martin told What Kept Me Up, explaining that he was drawn to the possibility of encouraging conversations around subjects that are rarely discussed openly. “It was also important to me that the characters have their quiet moments, allowing us to get closer to their inner lives and understand what they may not be able to express openly,” he added.

Production on In the Space of Desire has been completed, with a private screening held in late October. The film is expected to receive its first public screening at Ibadan Indie Film Awards later this month, ahead of a tentative release on TWF Productions’ YouTube channel in February 2027.

The project continues an established creative relationship between Martin and the company’s founders. He previously directed TWF Productions’ debut short film, Tell It No More (currently with 120,000 views on YouTube), and appeared alongside Temilolu Fosudo and Wumi Tuase-Fosudo in the stage play The Greatest Actor of All Time.

Beyond its short-film output and theatre productions, TWF Productions is also looking to make its first feature-length film in 2027. The company intends to maintain a regular output of short films for its YouTube channel alongside at least one stage production annually.

“We see these projects as an opportunity to keep creating, develop our craft, and build an audience that is invested in our work,” Temilolu told What Kept Me Up. “We hope that by the time our first feature film is ready, we will have established a community of viewers and theatre audiences eager to see what we do next.”
