Five Years After ‘La Femme Anjola’, Mildred Okwo Returns With ‘On Different Grounds’ (Watch Trailer)

Mildred Okwo (La Femme Anjola) returns to cinemas after five years with On Different Grounds, a romantic dramedy produced by Nicole Ndigwe (Before Valentine’s) under her HB&Q Impressions banner. The film’s official trailer arrives ahead of its June 12 theatrical premiere.

The trailer teases a cross-cultural wedding in the making, exes forced to confront unresolved feelings, and the possibility of second chances, all wrapped in a Nollywood-Bollywood blend. The story follows a divorced couple whose reunion at their daughter’s wedding unravels long-buried emotions and family tensions.

The film is written by a team comprising Nicole Ndigwe, Ololade Okedare (Tinsel), Diche Enunwa (Namaste Wahala), Temitope Bolade-Akinbode (Before Valentine’s), and Oyediya Joy Uwaoma (The Silence Between Us).

On Different Grounds stars an ensemble cast including Jennifer Eliogu, Bob Manuel Udokwu, Nkem Owoh, Uche Montana, Uche Jombo, Ebele Okaro, Abena Akuaba, Ifeanyi Kalu, Maggie Osuome, the Mbadiwe brothers, Nimesh Diliprai, Vineet Raina, Fadekemi Olumide, and Bamike ‘Bam Bam’ Olawunmi.

Distributed by Cinemax, On Different Grounds opens in cinemas nationwide on June 12.
